The terms and conditions of sale below apply to all purchases of Green Cathedral Bespoke Furniture products.
We, and similar expressions, refer to Green Cathedral (ABN 51 627 427 258).
You, and similar expressions, refer to you, our customer or proposed customer. This agreement is subject to the terms and conditions below, provided that the term or condition is not in breach of any applicable law or statute at the time and place of acceptance of this order by Green Cathedral

If you have received a quote for design and production of furniture by Green Cathedral, payment and receipt of the deposit imply confirmation and acceptance of all specifications as outlined in the quotation and terms and conditions as listed below. The materials and components for your new furniture will be carefully selected and our craftspeople will begin making your furniture for delivery.
SPECIFICATIONS
We reserve the right to make minimal changes to dimensions, design and construction. Our representatives are available to answer any questions concerning Green Cathedral products, however, you must be solely responsible for your final selection including the suitability of a particular product, colour and model.
Please choose carefully as we do not usually refund or exchange if you change your mind.
ESSENTIAL CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your furniture is designed to specifications exceeding ordinary levels, however, the life of the furniture will depend on proper care and maintenance. Please obtain and follow carefully, the appropriate care and maintenance instructions for your furniture. Inappropriate cleaning methods, above-average or excessive loading or the failure to properly care for the furniture may result in costly repairs and could void your warranty. Soft cushion fillings and removable covers may require periodic replacement due to normal or abnormal use.
VARIATIONS
Your product may exhibit different characteristics to any sample of shown, due to variations in timbers, dimensions, paints, finishes and designers discretion. Every piece is handcrafted and unique, no two pieces of Green Cathedral furniture are exactly the same. A comprehensive description of the finished product will be given in the initial quote, however, Green Cathedral reserves the right to alter the design, dimensions or finishes if required. Reasonable effort will be made to inform the client by phone or email prior to any changes.
As timber is a natural product it displays blemishes and colour variations which will affect the overall look of the piece, this not a fault of Green Cathedral and no liability will be accepted. Where the description of reclaimed, reused or recycled is used, this refers to timber which shows signs of ageing and can have signs of pre-use (e.g nail holes some cracks), this does not affect or compromise the overall durability of the product, it is an aesthetic feature.
WARRANTY
Each piece of furniture manufactured by Green Cathedral is covered by the terms and conditions of the limited warranty. No other warranty is valid whether expressed or implied except for any implied conditions and warranties under mandatory laws applicable at the time and place of acceptance of this order by Green Cathedral. Please see below for full warranty inclusions & exclusions.
CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are subject to a minimum cancellation charge amounting to 30% of the purchase price. Cancellations, where manufacturing has commenced and/or purchases, have been made on your behalf may include a cancellation charge up to the entire purchase price. The cancellation charge covers loss of value, administration and inventory costs, and other associated expenses.
TITLE
The title to the goods and ownership shall remain with Green Cathedral until such time as the purchaser has paid all amounts owing whether under this agreement or any other associated agreement. In the event of any default by the purchaser, Green Cathedral (without prejudice to any other rights) shall be entitled to repossession of the goods and for the purpose of repossessing the goods, Green Cathedral shall be at liberty to enter premises in which the goods are located and shall not be liable for any damage whatever incurred during repossession. If the purchaser sells the goods prior to payment of all sums owing, the purchaser shall hold the proceeds of such sale as trustee for Green Cathedral. Green Cathedral shall be entitled to all such proceeds.
PAYMENT
Full payment for products must be made at the time of purchase, except in the event of made to order products, in which case Green Cathedral may at its absolute discretion agree to accept a deposit with the payment of the balance at a later time, but in any event full payment must be received by Green Cathedral prior to delivery being arranged.
No company or personal cheques accepted without prior arrangement. Any costs incurred in obtaining payment for goods, including bank transfer fees, currency conversion costs, cheque representation fees and related charges, must be paid by the purchaser. All amounts are in Australian dollars unless specified in writing by an authorised representative of Green Cathedral. Green Cathedral reserves the right to cancel any invoice. Green Cathedral shall be entitled without prejudice to its other rights and remedies, to terminate or suspend the whole of or any part of any agreement between Green Cathedral and the purchaser.
CARRIERS
Full payment is required prior to the goods passing to a contract carrier. All furniture is transported at the purchaser’s own risk. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange insurance and to organise any additional protective packaging. Green Cathedral is not responsible for the goods once they have changed hands. Crating and additional protective packaging is not normally used if freight is by padded transport. All freight and insurance charges, including charges for any additional packaging and crating, are the responsibility of the purchaser unless the client has been advised otherwise in writing.
DELIVERY
Completion and delivery dates are approximate only. Each part of the manufacturing process is carefully checked and any components not meeting our strict requirements will be rejected. This dedication to quality, together with factors beyond our direct control, may sometimes result in unavoidable delivery delays. Green Cathedral will update you on any unavoidable factors that may contribute to a delay in delivery via phone or email. Difficult delivery access, including staircases, narrow passages or areas of awkward access that may restrict, delay or prevent delivery are your responsibility.
WARRANTY
Green Cathedral products are designed and made to last, if an issue does arise, please contact us to discuss repair arrangements.
Upholstered Furniture
All Green Cathedral sofas, chairs and beds are covered by a 5-year structural warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty specifically relates to frames, suspension and support, it ensures your purchase is free of defective workmanship in furniture that is subject to normal application and has been carefully maintained and sensibly used.
Timber furniture – 5 Years
A 5-year warranty covers the structural integrity of our 100% timber items. We ensure the quality of our design and workmanship, expecting them to provide a lifetime of enjoyment when subject to their intended use. Our timber furniture is not designed to be dragged along the floor at any time, it should only be lifted and moved with care.
Please Note: Timber is a natural product and susceptible to environmental and atmospheric conditions, these can affect the performance and appearance of your furniture, causing changes such as shrinkage, expansion, bowing, checking, splitting and colour change which cannot be warranted.
Our finishes are subject to everyday wear and tear they too cannot be warranted. To keep your piece looking its best, refer to our care instructions (summary below)and advice available on request.
MDF/Painted Furniture
A 2-year warranty covers the structural integrity of our MDF and Painted items. Painted MDF surfaces are susceptible to everyday wear & tear and cannot be warranted. MDF although painted, is not a waterproof product and any moisture damage due to incorrect care, maintenance or placement is not able to be warranted (further details in the Care section below).
Outdoor – 1 Year
A 1-year warranty covers the structural integrity of outdoor products. All our outdoor products are made to the highest quality to help them withstand the elements. We cannot warrant products that are exposed to extreme
weather conditions.
